Do you remember the Push-Me-Pull-You from Dr. Dolittle? I believe this fabled creature (created easily on a Macbook) is a good representation of the church-school dilemma. Which body runs which? When the church pushes does the school pull? When the school is larger and more powerful does the church suffer? These are the kinds of questions we are wrestling with at Light & Life in Escondido, CA.
The purpose of this blog is to share our journey with you – other pastors, administrators, kingdom oriented persons – as we seek a (new to us) paradigm of kingdom ministry through Christian education. Please join the conversation, share your thoughts, opinions, struggles, frustrations, and even criticisms (as long as they are constructive) and perhaps we address two issues at the same time – the decline of education in America and this thing Jesus called making disciples.
